The Partners of Livingston, Alexander & Levy are pleased to announce, effective January 1st, 2022 the appointment of Mr. Allan Wood, Q.C. as new Senior Partner.
Allan, who heads the firm’s Litigation Department, is widely respected as an outstanding litigator and is ranked, in Band 1 by Chambers Global, for general business law dispute resolution. He has practiced at the Jamaican Bar for over three decades and has acted in a broad range of complex litigation, including several matters in the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and the Caribbean Court of Justice.
In addition, Allan has appeared in matters in Anguilla, the Cayman Islands and the Turks & Caicos Islands.
Despite a busy and demanding practice, Allan has made time to give service to the profession. In April, he will come to the end of his second and final term as Chairman of the General Legal Council, having first been appointed on 23rd March 2016.
In his spare time Allan enjoys reading non-fiction, cycling and gardening.
